Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Hardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Hardin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauro Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Hardin!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hansen is not content to let Hardin control the position.

Hardin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hansen checks it well.

Hansen tries to get the hooks in deep but Hardin pushed the leg off.

Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hansen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hardin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hardin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sean Hardin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Hardin moves into the clinch.
Hardin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hansen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hardin wants the takedown. Hansen is fighting it off but Hardin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hansen's guard against the cage.
Hardin stands and throws Hansen's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hardin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hansen, who protects the arm well.
The ground and pound from Hardin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Check out the look on Hardin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hardin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hansen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hansen is looking for a sweep.

Hardin has hold of Hansen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hansen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hardin cranks the arm and Hansen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hansen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sean Hardin!
In his post fight interview, Sean Hardin gave a big smile as he said '"I can't help but think that I did everything right here tonight, and for all my doubters. I'm here to stay. Love me or hate me, I'm doing it for all you people." '.
