Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lebron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munoz has chosen Champions as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lebron James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marc Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.
James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Munoz tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
James stuffs the takedown.
Munoz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily.
Lebron James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Munoz.
James misses with a head kick.
We've been told by James's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Munoz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Munoz is controlling the pace.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Munoz working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Munoz is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Munoz stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

James feints and as Munoz raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Munoz wants to get up but he can't break James's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
James is breathing heavily.
Munoz controls from within his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
James working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Munoz.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marc Munoz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
James shoots in looking for a takedown but Munoz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing James's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Munoz has taken the fight to the clinch.
James wants to stall.
Munoz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Munoz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Munoz drives through with a takedown into guard.
Munoz is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Munoz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Munoz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches James napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James is not content to let Munoz control the position.

Munoz swats away the attempt to clinch by James.
Munoz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
James fails with the takedown.
Munoz blocks a jab.
Munoz blocks a head kick by James.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James tries to clinch up
and Munoz counters with a right hand to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Munoz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. James sprawls well initially but Munoz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

James rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Munoz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Munoz wants to take a breather but James is having none of it.
James wants to control but Munoz is keeping busy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Munoz decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

A solid leg kick lands there for Munoz.

James tries to keep at a distance but Munoz has taken the fight into the clinch.

Munoz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Munoz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with James but James pushes him off and we're back to square one.
James moves in looking to clinch but Munoz pushes him off.
Munoz darts in looking for a takedown but James gets double underhooks and turns Munoz into the ropes.
Lebron James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Munoz.
James tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Munoz avoids it.

Munoz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
James tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Munoz defends well and James ends up having to push Munoz into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Munoz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from James.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Munoz pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Munoz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
James wants to stand but Munoz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

James avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Munoz looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Munoz wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marc Munoz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Munoz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Munoz is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marc Munoz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Munoz stops James from getting back to his feet.
Munoz is pressing down on James's thigh, looking to free his foot. James is holding on for now.
Munoz passes into side control, despite James's attempt to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Munoz is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. James is trying to escape and Munoz transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and James is forced to tap! Nice work there by Munoz! Very nice indeed!
