Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monroe Hutchens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Monroe Hutchens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Great Atom!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hutchens gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Atom counters with a low kick, right behind Hutchens 's knee.
Atom looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Atom scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Hutchens sneaks out the side door and pushes Atom away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Hutchens tries to clinch up.

Hutchens drives through and clinches with Atom against the cage.
Atom fails to pull guard.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Atom has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hutchens tried to score with a low kick but Atom checks it.
Atom dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hutchens. That did some damage!

Hutchens closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hutchens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hutchens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hutchens misses with a takedown attempt - Atom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hutchens jumps guard but Atom turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Atom has Hutchens pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Atom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hutchens tumbling to the mat - Atom dives into Hutchens's guard.

Atom wants to get up but he can't break Hutchens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Atom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hutchens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Atom has managed to get both his arms back between Hutchens's legs - danger averted.
