Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hector Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Movsisyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hector Cruz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz connects with a right hand. Movsisyan shakes it off.
Cruz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cruz tries to clinch up but Movsisyan circles away and keeps his distance.
We've been hearing reports that Cruz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Movsisyan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Movsisyan showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cruz wants to improve his position but Movsisyan is controlling well.

Movsisyan is working for a kimura but Cruz is defending it quite comfortably.

Let's hope that Movsisyan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Cruz wants to control but Movsisyan is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Movsisyan working over Cruz with some ground and pound. Cruz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Movsisyan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cruz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cruz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Movsisyan defends well.

Movsisyan is in close to Cruz's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Movsisyan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Movsisyan pushes down on Cruz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cruz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cruz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Movsisyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Movsisyan drops back looking for a leg! Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruz manages to kick Movsisyan off! Movsisyan jumps back into Cruz's guard.
Movsisyan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cruz's head.

Movsisyan forces his way into half guard.

Movsisyan is working for a submission of some sort.
Cruz wants to get back to full guard.

Movsisyan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cruz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cruz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Movsisyan slows the pace down in half guard.
Cruz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Movsisyan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cruz tries to lock up and control but Movsisyan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alexander Movsisyan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head kick misses from Movsisyan.
Cruz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Movsisyan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruz's waist but Cruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Movsisyan off to one side.

Cruz lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Movsisyan backwards.
Cruz with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Cruz manages to break the clinch.
and Cruz counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Movsisyan! He's just covering up as Cruz starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
