Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Nichols!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Mayhem!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayhem has managed to clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Mayhem.

It looks like Jeff Nichols has been cut.
Nichols gets underhooks to prevent Mayhem's takedown attempt.
Mayhem working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Mayhem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mayhem's corner calls for a 1-2. Mayhem obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Mayhem drives through and clinches with Nichols against the cage.
Nichols wants to stall.
Mayhem taking a breather.

Mayhem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nichols blocks a head kick by Mayhem.
Mayhem throws a series of punches but Nichols avoids them all with ease.
Mayhem swats away the attempt to clinch by Nichols.
Mayhem shoots in looking for a takedown. Nichols tries to sprawl out of it but Mayhem keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nichols manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nichols shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mayhem defends it nicely.

Mayhem clinches up with Nichols and pushes him back against the cage.
Nichols really is a fat lump.
Nichols avoiding damage as Mayhem throws knees to the body.
Mayhem drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nichols gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jeff Nichols has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Mayhem.

Nichols gets control of Mayhem's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nichols will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nichols looking for a triangle here. Mayhem is fighting it but it looks tight! Nichols pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mayhem is tapping out - this one is all over!
