The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Key dodges the punch combination from McOlin.
Key throws a combination. McOlin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Phil McOlin has been cut.
Key throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A lazy left from McOlin finds it's target.
Nice takedown defense from McOlin. No joy for Key on that attempt.
Key uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McOlin.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McOlin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McOlin lands with a hook. Key tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Key takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Key fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McOlin, pushing him back against the cage.
McOlin wants to break free but Key has control.
McOlin wants to break free but Key has control.
McOlin wants to get back to striking at distance but Key won't allow it.
Key prevents McOlin from breaking the clinch.
McOlin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Key goes for a takedown attempt but McOlin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Key. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Key gets the takedown into side control.
McOlin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Key working the ground and pound but McOlin is defending the strikes.
McOlin is trying to control Key's posture but Key avoids it.

Key throws a strike aimed at the side of McOlin's head but McOlin avoids it well.
The strikes coming from Key are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Key thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Key is breathing heavily.
Key grinds an elbow into McOlin's temple.
McOlin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Key. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Key working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on McOlin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Key tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Key has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McOlin defending against the ground and pound.
Key postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

McOlin is trying to control Key's posture but Key avoids it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck for Key with that takedown attempt.
McOlin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Key in his tracks.
Key takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McOlin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


Key is rocked!
McOlin lands with a big left! Key is wobbled badly! McOlin comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Key to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Phil McOlin!
