The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hwoarang is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hwoarang wants to get back to his feet but Gordon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Hwoarang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gordon has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hwoarang is trying to keep an underhook but Gordon manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gordon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hwoarang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hwoarang is trying to maintain the position but Gordon is very close to passing his half guard.

Gordon is nestled in close to Hwoarang, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gordon has eaten all the pies!

Gordon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hwoarang sees it coming and defends easily.
Hwoarang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hwoarang is working hard here to advance position.
Gordon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Gordon wants to pass the guard but Hwoarang is defending well.

Gordon winds up and cracks Hwoarang with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Well, if Gordon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gordon lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Hwoarang! More strikes land and this one is all over! Gordon jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
