Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronny Carrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Rocha!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Carrillo with that takedown attempt.
Rocha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carrillo.
Carrillo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rocha's waist but Rocha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carrillo off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronny Carrillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rocha is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rocha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carrillo's guard.
Rocha must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rocha dives in for a single leg takedown but Carrillo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rocha is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Carrillo can't fight it off and eventually Rocha manages to take the fight to the floor. Carrillo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carrillo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Carrillo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Carrillo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rocha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Eduardo Rocha has got the better of the ground game so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rocha is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rocha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carrillo is fending him off so far but Rocha persists. Nope, Carrillo circles away and we're back to standing.

Carrillo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rocha defends it nicely.
Rocha tries to close the distance and clinch but Carrillo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rocha shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Carrillo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Carrillo is looking to stand back up but Rocha counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Carrillo.

Eduardo Rocha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rocha closes the distance looking for a takedown. Carrillo stuffs it but Rocha still has hold of him. Rocha picks Carrillo up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Rocha slams Carrillo to the floor and that's really hurt Carrillo - he doesn't know where he is! Rocha throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
