The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starnes closes the distance and clinches up with Blighton, looking for a takedown. Starnes pushes Blighton against the cage but Blighton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Starnes misses with a straight right.

Blighton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Starnes to the mat! Starnes manages to get full guard.
Blighton preventing the sweep.
Blighton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Starnes striking off his back but it's not causing Blighton any problems.
Starnes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Starnes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blighton is keen to just control but Starnes is a slippery customer.

Starnes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Blighton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Starnes.
Starnes looks to land a left hand but Blighton moved out of range nicely.

Blighton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Starnes is trying to defend but Blighton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Starnes is refusing to be controlled, as Blighton sits in half guard.

Blighton looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Blighton throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Blighton in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Starnes is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blighton wants to take a breather but Starnes is having none of it.

Blighton pushes Starnes off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Blighton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Starnes's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Starnes is working an open guard so Blighton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cletus Starnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blighton moves out of range as Starnes strikes.

Starnes gets caught flat footed, as Blighton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Starnes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blighton controls the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Starnes is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blighton has his feet on Starnes's thighs here. He's pushed Starnes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Starnes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
