The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapide looks for a takedown but Norton sprawls well.
Rapide fails with the takedown.
Norton dives in for a single leg takedown but Rapide sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rapide's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Norton blocks a head kick by Rapide.
Rapide tries to clinch up but Norton circles away and keeps his distance.
Norton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Norton is defended easily by Rapide.
Rapide fails with the takedown.

Norton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Norton lands a big head kick that sends Rapide tumbling to the mat! Norton takes a step backwards and waves Rapide back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Norton is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Rapide is in big trouble! Norton is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Rapide. Poor guy.
