The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Taki are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Misk is not content to let Taki control the position.
Misk can't do much from the bottom here.
Misk is looking for a sweep.
Misk regains half guard.
Misk definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Taki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Taki is fighting to break Misk's control of his arms but Misk is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taki wanted to stand there but Misk had control of the position.
Misk wants to sweep but no luck.
Misk seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Samir Misk.

Taki shoots in and gets a takedown into Misk's guard.

Taki trying to control the position from guard on top but Misk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Misk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Taki is one step ahead there.

Taki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Taki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Taki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Misk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Misk is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Taki rolls with it to try and escape but Misk cranks on the arm and Taki is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
