Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Smach Kaboom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Werner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Smach Kaboom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlo Werner!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Kaboom misses
and Werner makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Werner wants to clinch.
Werner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kaboom pinned against the cage. Kaboom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Werner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kaboom counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Werner!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kaboom has control of Werner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Werner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kaboom wants to finish this one by submission but Werner is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kaboom.

Kaboom takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kaboom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kaboom has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Werner's face.

Kaboom changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Werner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kaboom is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kaboom decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Werner dives in for a single leg takedown but Kaboom sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kaboom goes for a takedown attempt but Werner pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Werner is looking to clinch.
Smach Kaboom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Werner fails with a takedown attempt.

Werner gets caught napping as Kaboom dives in and scores a takedown. Werner manages to retain guard.

Kaboom postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Werner controls Kaboom momentarily but Kaboom frees himself.

Kaboom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Werner throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kaboom escapes and throws Werner's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Werner is desperately trying to improve his position but Kaboom has a good base and remains in mount.

Kaboom jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Werner manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kaboom decides to stand back up. Kaboom steps back and let's Werner get back to his feet.
Werner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kaboom swivels and escapes.
Smach Kaboom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlo Werner.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kaboom's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
