Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Stephan Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dizzy Jigster!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jigster shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lucas sprawls well. Lucas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jigster gets slowly back to his feet.
Lucas leaves Jigster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lucas fails with the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lucas is defended easily by Jigster.
Lucas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jigster's waist but Jigster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lucas off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephan Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lucas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lucas misses with a leg kick
and Jigster counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lucas is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jigster! Lucas is out on his feet! Jigster rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Lucas is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Lucas is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
