Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Orange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bert Rabbit!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabbit wants to clinch
and Orange counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Orange takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rabbit is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Orange really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Orange is working for a kimura but Rabbit is defending it quite comfortably.
Rabbit tries to roll over but Orange keeps him under control.
Orange looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rabbit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rabbit slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Orange wants to control from the top but Rabbit keeps moving.
Orange wants to pass the guard but Rabbit is keeping the position.
Rabbit looking for a sweep. Not yet Rabbit, not yet.
Rabbit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Orange is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rabbit tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Orange with a nice head shot there.
Orange controlling from the top position.
Rabbit pushes a forearm under Orange's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Orange is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
