Kearney comes into the arena with Tides of Man - Knowing That You've Already Arrived blaring out of the sound system. Cathal Kearney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeVries gets tackled into the cage by Kearney. Kearney maintains the clinch.
Kearney tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Kearney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kearney fails in his attempt to clinch.
DeVries goes for a double leg but Kearney avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kearney continues to drive forward.
DeVries wants a takedown.
Kearney has a couple of punches blocked by DeVries.

DeVries jumps guard and drags Kearney to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kearney trying to stand up but can't free himself from DeVries's guard.
DeVries seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kearney wanted to stand there but DeVries had control of the position.

DeVries is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kearney has his hands clasped together but DeVries extends and breaks Kearney's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by DeVries.
