Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Boyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Tuwima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Tuwima has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harvey Boyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay Tuwima!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuwima turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice combination there by Tuwima.
It looks like Harvey Boyer has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Tuwima lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boyer doesn't seem phased though.
Boyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tuwima wants to control but Boyer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Boyer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Boyer is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Boyer slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boyer is trying to stick to Tuwima's back but Tuwima is turning into Boyer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Boyer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Tuwima.
Boyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boyer swings around for an armbar but Tuwima sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boyer's guard.

Boyer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Boyer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tuwima's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Harvey Boyer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tuwima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Boyer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tuwima with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tuwima throws a left and a right that both miss
and Boyer counters with a shoot takedown. Tuwima fights it but they end up in guard.

Boyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tuwima can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boyer controls the pace.
Boyer stands up over Tuwima, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
