PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keizou Ishizaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Butt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishizaki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Japanese Rap. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butt connects with a solid leg kick.

Ishizaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Butt's waist but Butt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ishizaki off to one side.
Butt's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Butt duly obliges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ishizaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Butt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ishizaki has control of Butt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Butt regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ishizaki is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Butt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Butt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ishizaki is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Butt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ishizaki's back instead.
