Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kareem Mcbride!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Sermera!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sermera throws a push kick but Mcbride slaps the foot to one side.

Mcbride gets caught napping as Sermera dives in and scores a takedown. Mcbride manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sermera stands up and waves to Mcbride to follow him.
Sermera goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


Kareem Mcbride's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mcbride moves into the clinch.
Mcbride tries to score a body lock takedown but Sermera shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mcbride tries to break free but Sermera pushes him back against the cage.
Sermera tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mcbride avoids it.

Sermera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sermera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcbride to the mat! Mcbride manages to get full guard.

Sermera gets to his feet - Mcbride follows without any prompting.
Mcbride tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mcbride has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sermera is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Sermera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sermera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sermera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mcbride is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Mcbride blocks a head kick by Sermera.
Simon Sermera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sermera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcbride to the mat! Mcbride manages to get full guard.
Sermera looks winded!
Sermera trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcbride is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mcbride wants to get back to his feet but Sermera passes into half guard.
Mcbride tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sermera manages to move to mount!

Mcbride defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sermera.
Sermera lands a big shot there that rocks Mcbride but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcbride is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Sermera stands up from mount. Strange move.
Sermera cracks a nice hook into Mcbride's ribs.
Sermera stuns Mcbride with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sermera lands a brutal head kick. Mcbride looks out on his feet and Sermera throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Simon Sermera!
A less than humble Simon Sermera misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
