PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Omppu Vehree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Nijem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vehree comes to the cage accompanied by Lucifer. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nijem closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nijem lands in his opponent's guard.
Vehree wants to sweep here but Nijem controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vehree takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Nijem shoots in looking for a takedown. Vehree tries to sprawl out of it but Nijem keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vehree manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vehree.
Nijem changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vehree tries to avoid it but Nijem manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vehree to the ground. Vehree escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Omppu Vehree has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Nijem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Vehree's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Vehree working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nijem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nijem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nijem wants to get up but he can't break Vehree's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Vehree throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nijem's waist but Nijem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vehree off to one side.

Nijem throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vehree sees it coming and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nijem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Nijem has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
