Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adolfo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilkinson has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Wilkinson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Dias fails to land with a series of punches.
Dias cracks Wilkinson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dias avoids a kick to the body.
Wilkinson throws a low kick but Dias avoids it.
Dias sizes up Wilkinson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wilkinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

It looks like Adolfo Dias has been cut.

Wilkinson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dias is trying to keep an underhook but Wilkinson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, if Wilkinson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wilkinson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dias has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dias!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wilkinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dias swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wilkinson is looking to work some ground and pound but Dias has wrist control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wilkinson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wilkinson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wilkinson has hold of Dias's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dias manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wilkinson has control of Dias's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dias regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilkinson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Dias has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dias on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Wilkinson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adolfo Dias.
I think Wilkinson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
