Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reaper Sickle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klaus Kleber!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sickle scores with a takedown into Kleber's guard.
Sickle throwing strikes but missing.
Sickle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kleber wants to get back to his feet but Sickle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kleber working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sickle has passed into half guard!

Sickle darts in and clinches Kleber up against the cage.

Sickle tightens his grip and picks Kleber up, before dumping him to the ground. Kleber manages to land in guard.
Sickle wants to control from the top but Kleber keeps moving.
Kleber looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sickle is one step ahead there.
Kleber is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kleber landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Kleber prevents Sickle from improving his position.
Sickle has hold of Kleber's hands but Kleber slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sickle misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sickle wants to get back to full guard.
Sickle flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Sickle is trying to maintain the position but Kleber is very close to passing his half guard.
It looks like Kleber is going to stand back up.
Sickle trying to hold on to Kleber's head to control him but Kleber postures up.

Kleber wants to stand but Sickle has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Sickle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sickle is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kleber tries to clinch up
and Sickle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sickle shoots in for a takedown but Kleber shows good takedown defense.
Sickle gets the takedown into side control.
Kleber manages to get back to half guard.
Kleber regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sickle trying to control the position from guard on top but Kleber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kleber manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kleber wants to clinch
and Sickle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kleber's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sickle throws and elbow that misses. Kleber uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sickle's guard. Nice move by Kleber!
Kleber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sickle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kleber postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sickle is striking off his back. Kleber thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Kleber is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sickle defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kleber shoots for a double leg takedown but Sickle sprawls well. He's pushed Kleber's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sickle gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Kleber's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sickle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kleber keeps working.
Kleber is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Sickle has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Sickle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kleber is looking to escape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sickle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sickle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kleber is looking to escape.

Kleber is desperately trying to improve his position but Sickle has a good base and remains in mount.
Sickle trying to control but Kleber is having none of it.
Kleber takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kleber tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kleber wants to control but Sickle is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sickle lands a big shot there that rocks Kleber but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sickle scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kleber?
Kleber tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kleber is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kleber is in a horrible position here. Sickle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sickle looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reaper Sickle dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Sickle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reaper Sickle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kleber wants to clinch
and Sickle counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sickle wants to break free but Kleber has control.
Kleber wants to get back to striking at distance but Sickle won't allow it.
Kleber has had enough of the clinch but Sickle keeps him there for the moment.
Kleber is looking to break free of the clinch but Sickle has double underhooks.
Sickle has Kleber pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kleber manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Sickle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kleber's guard.

Sickle thows a huge punch but Kleber dodges it nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sickle trying to mount his opponent but Kleber defends it.
Kleber wants to improve his position but Sickle is controlling well.
Sickle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kleber defends it well.

Sickle is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kleber has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kleber!
Reaper Sickle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sickle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kleber wants to pass the guard but Sickle is keeping the position.

Kleber is looking to stand up but Sickle isn't so interested in that idea.
Klaus Kleber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Reaper Sickle.
Well Sickle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
