Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Palicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Palicki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Drago!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago avoids the body shot from Palicki.

Palicki clinches up with Drago and pushes him back against the ropes.
Drago is trying to force a seperation but Palicki has the dominant position.
Drago is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Palicki pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Palicki gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Drago.
Drago wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Palicki throws a punch but it's blocked by Drago.
Palicki stops a takedown attempt from Drago.
Dan Palicki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikolai Drago.

Drago has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Palicki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Drago goes for a takedown attempt but Palicki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Drago counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Palicki!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Drago sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Palicki defending well though.
Drago looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Palicki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Palicki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Palicki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Drago might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Palicki haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nikolai Drago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Palicki fails to land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Palicki is defended easily by Drago.
Nikolai Drago seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Drago's jab looks to have found its range, popping Palicki under the eye.

No joy there for Drago, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drago fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dan Palicki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Palicki is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Drago moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikolai Drago!
