Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wangu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott's entrance music is Ironfist. A fine choice. Wangu has chosen Lux Aeterna (go to 3:21) as his entrance music. Sam Wangu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Magnus Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Wangu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott misses with a hook.

Wangu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Scott is looking for a sweep. Wangu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Scott keeping hold of Wangu's head, controlling as best he can.
Scott has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Scott is trying to control but can't.
Scott is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wangu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We're going to have a standup here because Magnus Scott wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Scott closes the distance and clinches.

Wangu has hold of one of Scott's legs. Scott is fighting the takedown attempt but Wangu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott is controlling Wangu's posture.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wangu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wangu trying to move into half guard but instead Scott has managed to sweep!
Wangu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Scott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wangu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Scott is one step ahead there.

Scott slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wangu wants to get back to his feet but Scott drags him back down.
Scott scores with a couple of short elbows.
Scott creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Scott cracks Wangu with a big right hand but Wangu just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Scott wants to control but Wangu is keeping him busy.
Scott takes a little break here. Wangu wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Scott grinds an elbow into Wangu's temple.

Scott in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Wangu is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
