The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McLovin tries to avoid it but Gomez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McLovin to the ground. McLovin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gomez tries for a takedown but McLovin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gomez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Emmaneul McLovin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfredo Gomez.
Gomez tries to clinch up.
Gomez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gomez shoots in but McLovin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McLovin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Alfredo Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLovin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gomez.

Gomez tries to move into range but McLovin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gomez gets cracked there but stands up to it.

McLovin lunges at Gomez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gomez's hand.
McLovin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McLovin's corner calls for a 1-2. McLovin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gomez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McLovin swivels and escapes.
McLovin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gomez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

McLovin lands a nice shot that snaps Gomez's head back.
The fighters circle momentarily. McLovin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McLovin fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Gomez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Gomez looks to clinch but McLovin throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Gomez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
