The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Banner.
Banner looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Banner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Banner landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Banner's best efforts.
Banner missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Banner scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Banner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Banner is tapping! Great win for Silva!
