The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savage bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Edwards! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Chris Edwards has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Edwards is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Savage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Savage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Savage decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Savage closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Edwards did well to prevent Savage getting side control.
Edwards is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Savage seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Savage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Savage fakes the body blow, causing Edwards to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Edwards goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
