Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lucas's choice of entrance music: Jesus I Was Evil. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Matthew Lucas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a really nice looking cross but Lucas seems unphased.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lucas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lucas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Lucas circles away.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lucas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Silva wants to clinch but Lucas slips to the side
and Lucas counters with a body kick.
Lucas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Lucas.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva wants to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lucas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Lucas which made him look bad.
Lucas thows a body shot but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lucas thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Rafael Silva has been cut.
Lucas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Lucas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lucas connects with a solid leg kick.
We've been informed that Lucas has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lucas drops Silva with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Silva looks back up at him and smiles so Lucas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Silva is rocked!
Lucas misses with a looping left.
Lucas throws an uppercut from hell that sends Silva clean off his feet! He's out cold! Lucas stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

After the fight, Matthew Lucas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
