The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Belton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Watts on the side of the head.
Watts closes this distance looking for a takedown but Belton circles away.
Belton misses the jab.
That kick from Belton tenderised Watts's leg. Watts is trying to keep his angry face on.
Belton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Belton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Watts.
Watts throws a head kick that misses.

Watts darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Belton desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Belton is pressing down on Watts's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Belton has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belton turns into Watts and is now in his guard.
Belton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Watts's guard.
Watts controls Belton momentarily but Belton frees himself.
Belton wants to get up but he can't break Watts's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Watts pulls Belton in close to prevent any damage.
Belton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Watts is proving hard to escape from.

Watts has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bill Belton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A nice leg kick lands there from Belton .
Watts shoots in but Belton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Watts connects with a leg kick. Belton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bill Belton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Belton explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Belton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Belton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Watts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Watts throws a right hand that Belton ducks under and follows up with a left that Belton also avoids with ease.
A nice inside leg kick there by Belton . That's going to slow Watts down.
Belton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Watts throws a jab but it's blocked by Belton .
Belton moves out of range of the body kick from Watts.
Belton throws a leg kick but Watts sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Watts connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Belton misses with a series of wild punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Watts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Belton catches Watts with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That was a close second round but I would say that Usain Watts will probably get the nod.

Watts thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Belton if he has to take too many more of those.

Watts tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Belton was well out of range. Poor timing from Watts.
