Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hoffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Torrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrez takes one to the side of the head.
Torrez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoffer.
Torrez thows a body shot but no joy.

Torrez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hoffer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Torrez cracks Hoffer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Hoffer counters with a three punch combo that has Torrez backing up. Torrez nods at Hoffer to acknowledge the strikes.
Torrez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hoffer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Torrez avoids it really well and circles away.

Torrez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hoffer shoots in and drives through. Torrez sprawls well.

Hoffer throws a hook to the side of Torrez's head but Torrez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hoffer shoots in looking for a takedown but Torrez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hoffer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Torrez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hoffer sprawling to the canvas! Hoffer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Torrez finish him?!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Hoffer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Torrez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hoffer. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Torrez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hoffer momentarily.
Torrez drops Hoffer with a naaaaasty hook - Hoffer is in real trouble here! Torrez dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Eddie Torrez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
