Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chael Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Babcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chael Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyle Babcock!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Babcock.
Babcock looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
Babcock throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Babcock throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.
Babcock lands with a nice combination. Gracie backs away looking to recover.

Babcock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Babcock sees it coming and defends easily.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Babcock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gracie controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Babcock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Babcock wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Babcock has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Babcock as he avoids it easily.

Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Babcock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Babcock throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kyle Babcock seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gracie dives in and grabs Babcock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Babcock pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

Babcock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.

Babcock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Chael Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Babcock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Babcock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Babcock!

Kyle Babcock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Babcock manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Babcock drops Gracie onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gracie is propped up by the ropes and works his way back to his feet!
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Babcock unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Gracie! He's leaning against the ropes trying to keep his feet but Babcock is unloading with more strikes now! Gracie drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Babcock!
After winning the bout, Kyle Babcock thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
