Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vort Under!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Jones!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Under can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Under looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Under swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones connects with a couple of short punches.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones won't allow Under to get back to his feet.
Jones drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Jones seems to have locked his on tight now - Under screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Jones, as he picks up the win!
