Tatsuya comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DBZ kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Roger Marsden could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryuu Tatsuya's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsden shoots in for a takedown but Tatsuya shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Roger Marsden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Marsden.
Tatsuya tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marsden wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Marsden thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tatsuya is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marsden has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsden swings around for an armbar but Tatsuya sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marsden's guard.
Marsden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tatsuya got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marsden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tatsuya has managed to get both his arms back between Marsden's legs - danger averted.

Marsden pushes a forearm under Tatsuya's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tatsuya is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
