The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasi fails with an attempt to clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Obasi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Obasi lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
De Nobrega misses with a short punch on the inside.
Obasi is pushing De Nobrega up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Obasi gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Obasi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carlos Alberto De Nobrega's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


De Nobrega is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Obasi moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Obasi!
