Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kendrik Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuomari Hurmio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hurmio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Die for Metal. The key to victory for Kendrik Down has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Hurmio.
Down stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Down wants it to stay on the feet.
Hurmio feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Down's calf.
Hurmio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Down's waist but Down gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hurmio off to one side.
Down jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hurmio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hurmio throws a nice outside leg kick.

Down gets caught flat footed, as Hurmio shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hurmio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Down striking off his back but it's not causing Hurmio any problems.
Hurmio trying to control but Down is working from the bottom.
Down will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hurmio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Down not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Down is adopting a defensive guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kendrik Down just wasn't active enough.
Hurmio lands a nice shot to the body.
Tuomari Hurmio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurmio lands with a right hand.
No luck for Hurmio with that takedown attempt.
Kendrik Down has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tuomari Hurmio.

Hurmio throws out a loose jab but Down uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hurmio connects with a leg kick. Down looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Down looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Down fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hurmio on the side of the head.

Hurmio tests Down's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Down just misses with a punch to the body.
Hurmio is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Down connects with a body shot that sends Hurmio's belly button to the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hurmio thows a body shot but no joy.
Hurmio delivers a nice body kick.
Hurmio misses with a looping left.
Hurmio moves out of range as Down strikes.

Hurmio rushes Down and presses him up against the cage.
Hurmio tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Down blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Hurmio has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Down clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Hurmio somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Hurmio working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Down is in bad spot here.
Down turns into Hurmio and is now in his guard.
Down has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hurmio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Down can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hurmio has his feet on Down's thighs here. He's pushed Down off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Down screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
