Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benito Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominikk Dostall!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dostall bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dostall lands an elbow.
Hooper is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dostall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dostall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dostall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hooper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dostall is looking to take a break and control but Hooper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hooper wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Hooper makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hooper.
Dostall wants to control from the top but Hooper keeps moving.

Dostall trying to control the position from guard on top but Hooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dostall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hooper trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hooper is striking off his back. Dostall thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Dostall tries to stand and escape but Hooper actually recovers to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dostall looking to sit in guard and control but Hooper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hooper shoots for a double leg takedown but Dostall sprawls well. He's pushed Hooper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hooper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dostall swivels and escapes.
Dostall tries to clinch up.
Dostall throws a quick inside leg kick.
No luck for Hooper with that takedown attempt.

Hooper tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dostall defends well and Hooper ends up having to push Dostall into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dostall jumps guard and drags Hooper to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Dostall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hooper works to advance to full mount. Dostall defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Hooper unloads with some shots from mount but Dostall bucks and avoids them well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hooper can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dostall is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Benito Hooper will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Hooper moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Dominikk Dostall has been cut.

Dostall gets a clinch.
Hooper is trying to break the clinch but Dostall is controlling him.
Hooper blocks an uppercut.
Dostall is trying to pull guard but Hooper turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Dostall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hooper shoots in and drives through. Dostall sprawls well.
Good standup being displayed there by Hooper as he connects with a hook.
Hooper has his takedown stuffed
and Dostall counters with a series of strikes. Hooper will be more careful next time no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dostall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hooper's efforts to push away.
Hooper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dostall is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hooper has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hooper!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dominikk Dostall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dostall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
