Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gray shoots in looking for a takedown. Gable tries to sprawl out of it but Gray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gable manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcas Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Gray with that takedown attempt.

Gable shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gable tries to free his leg and advance position but Gray is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gray misses with a takedown

and Gable counters with a shoot takedown. Gray fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gray is breathing heavily.

Gray wants to sweep but no luck.
Gable lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Gable sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gray's guard.

Gable frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gable is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gray is surviving well by controlling Gable's body position as best he can.
Gable breaks from Gray's wrist control and lands an elbow.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gable loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gray scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gable land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gable stands and salutes the crowd.
