Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alysian Karalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sabin Figaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Karalis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to High Hopes by Pink Floyd. Figaro has chosen Prospect - Warrior as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figaro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Karalis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Figaro moves away.

Karalis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Karalis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Karalis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Figaro eats them both and turns towards Karalis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Figaro's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Figaro fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Karalis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karalis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Figaro has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Figaro and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

In his post fight interview, Sabin Figaro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Alysian Karalis was interviewed post fight and said 'I told myself, win or lose, this would be my last fight. It's time for me to get fat, do lots of coke, buy an absurdly large boat and sail into obscurity with marginal looking prostitutes. Y'know, like all retired fighters eventually do.'.
