Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Kordell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beef Eater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kordell lands a head kick. Eater smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Eater throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kordell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Eater is trying to get back to full guard.
Kordell is trying to control the action in half guard but Eater is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kordell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eater swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eater is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Kordell. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Kordell is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Eater.

Kordell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Eater on the ground.
