Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donny Aguirre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kok Nos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Donny Aguirre has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donny Aguirre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kok Nos!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguirre has his takedown stuffed

and Nos counters by clinching up.
Nos looking to slow down the pace here.
Aguirre tries to pull guard but Nos forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Aguirre jumps guard but Nos stands there with Aguirre around his waist. Aguirre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Aguirre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aguirre is trying to pull guard but Nos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nos.
Aguirre jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nos walks away with a smile on his face. Aguirre gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Aguirre shoots in for a takedown but Nos shows good takedown defense.
Aguirre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aguirre somewhat.
Aguirre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nos manages to avoid it.

Nos shoots in and bounces Aguirre off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aguirre really is a fat lump.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Aguirre is looking to sweep but instead, Nos has passed into half guard.
Nos controlling the action here.

Aguirre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nos's back!

Aguirre keeps control of the position as Nos tries to break free.
Nos wants to control his opponent's hands but Aguirre gets his hands free.

You can see the frustration on Nos's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Aguirre is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nos knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nos for a finish.
Nos is really stuck here.
Aguirre doesn't have the hooks in and Nos manages to turn into his guard.
Aguirre might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nos is stalling in the full guard.
Nos is working Aguirre over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Aguirre keeping moving, preventing Nos from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kok Nos wasn't active enough on the ground.
Nos tries to close the distance and clinch but Aguirre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Aguirre closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kok Nos dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aguirre as he jumps to the side.

Aguirre gets caught flat footed, as Nos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Nos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aguirre looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aguirre looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aguirre!

Aguirre stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Aguirre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nos is breathing heavily.
Nos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nos wants it to stay on the feet.
Aguirre gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nos counters with a head kick.

Aguirre drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nos dives on top into guard.

Nos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Nos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Aguirre's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nos is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Aguirre tries to buck Nos off but Nos is having none of it.
Nos is looking to take a break and control but Aguirre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nos decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Aguirre rushes Nos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A body shot lands from Aguirre.

Aguirre jumps guard.
Nos advances position into side control!

Nos has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Aguirre fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kok Nos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Nos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aguirre was well out of range. Poor timing from Nos.

Nos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Aguirre!
Nos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Aguirre is looking to escape.

Nos stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Nos shoots for a takedown but Aguirre saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Horrible takedown by Aguirre or perhaps it was just good defense by Nos which made him look bad.
Nos shoots in looking for a takedown but Aguirre manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kok Nos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Donny Aguirre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kok Nos.

Aguirre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Aguirre has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nos after a bit of a struggle.
Aguirre wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nos has him pressed against the cage.
Aguirre tries to break the clinch but Nos is controlling the position.

Nos gets through Aguirre's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Aguirre tries to pull guard but Nos holds him up against the cage and eventually Aguirre drops back down to his feet.
Nos stalling.
Aguirre has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nos breaks from the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kok Nos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Nos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
