Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Judo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davis Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davies has chosen Wars Of Islam as his entrance music. Jack Judo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Judo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Davis Davies!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Judo moves into the clinch.
A short right from Judo.
Judo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Davies fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Judo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Judo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Davies throws a body punch but Judo moves out of range.
Judo on the wrong end of a nice hook.


It looks like Jack Judo has been cut.
Judo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Davies defends it nicely.
Judo walks into a stiff left hand from Davies.
Judo is looking to clinch but Davies is avoiding it.

Davies misses with an uppercut. Judo saw that one coming.
Judo wants to clinch up but Davies keeps it at a distance.
Judo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davies as he avoids it easily.
Judo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Judo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Judo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davies tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Judo was well out of range. Poor timing from Davies.
Davies lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Judo circles away quickly and effectively.

Judo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davies napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Davies wants to control but Judo postures up.
Davies is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Judo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Judo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies tries to roll over but Judo keeps him under control.

Davies regains full guard. Nicely done.
Davies controls Judo momentarily but Judo frees himself.

Judo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davies has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Judo has managed to get both his arms back between Davies's legs - danger averted.
Davies looking for a sweep. Not yet Davies, not yet.
Judo wants to control from the top but Davies keeps moving.

Davies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Judo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Judo scoring with punches to the head and body.
Judo advances to half guard.
Davies is pressing down on Judo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Judo gets to his feet - Davies follows without any prompting.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies misses with a jab, cross combination.
Judo tries to bum rush Davies with a series of wild strikes but Davies uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Judo shoots in looking for a takedown. Davies tries to sprawl out of it but Judo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davies manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Davis Davies will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jack Judo's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Judo fails with the takedown
and Davies counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Judo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davies misses with a lunging right hand
and Judo counters with a stiff right hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Judo.
Judo slips a jab and a cross from Davies.
A combination from Judo does no damage.
Judo shoots in but Davies avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Judo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Judo with a poor takedown
enabling Davies to counter with a crisp jab.
Judo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Judo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Davies misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davis Davies is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Judo moves in looking to clinch but Davies pushes him off.
Jack Judo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Judo is looking to clinch.
Judo throws a series of punches but Davies moves out of range.
Judo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Davies misses with a hook

and Judo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davies's guard now.
Judo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Davies is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Davies is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Davies has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davies manages to capitalize on a mistake by Judo to take his back!
Judo is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Davies not allowing Judo to control his hands.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Judo turns into Davies and is now in his guard.
Judo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Davies is proving hard to escape from.
Davies is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Davies is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Judo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Davies's guard.
Judo controlling from the top position.
Judo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Judo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A jab from Davies misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Judo will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Judo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Judo tries to clinch but Davies is having none of it.
Judo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jack Judo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Judo tries for a takedown but Davies sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Davies swats away the attempt to clinch by Judo.
Judo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davies sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Judo somewhat.

Judo throws a head kick but Davies moves out of range.

Judo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davies circles away.
Judo staying out of range there.

Davies gets caught napping as Judo dives in and scores a takedown. Davies manages to retain guard.
Davies looking for a sweep. Not yet Davies, not yet.
Judo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jack Judo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Davies throws his legs up looking for a submission but Judo uses it to pass to side control.
Davies tries to buck Judo off but Judo is having none of it.
Judo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davies keeps working.
Judo is putting a hurting on Davies here, landing some big shots from side control.
Judo tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Davies sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Judo is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Davies actively working from the bottom here.
Judo passes to full mount!
Davies is looking to get to half guard.
Davies is still trying to improve position.
The referee warns Davies that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davies regains half guard.
Davies moves into full guard.
Judo wants to control from the top but Davies keeps moving.

Davies has his foot on Judo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Judo works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Davies is trying to control the position but Judo postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Judo.
I think Judo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
