Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Hogsback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Yggdrasil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yggdrasil with a jab.
Hogsback takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Yggdrasil cracks Hogsback with a right hand to the side of the head.
Yggdrasil lands a jab to the head.
Hogsback takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hogsback walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Yggdrasil scores with a jab to the body.
Hogsback blocks a jab.
Hogsback takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hogsback shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yggdrasil misses the shot to the body.
Hogsback tries to clinch up but Yggdrasil circles away and keeps his distance.
Yggdrasil misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hogsback.
Yggdrasil jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Yggdrasil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yggdrasil scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yggdrasil. Hogsback does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hogsback throws a head kick but Yggdrasil moves out of range.
Hogsback takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Yggdrasil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yggdrasil lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yggdrasil is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hogsback had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Yggdrasil throws a hook to the side of Hogsback's head but Hogsback sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lars Yggdrasil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yggdrasil slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Hogsback shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hogsback showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hogsback wants to control but Yggdrasil is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hogsback passes to side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hogsback is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yggdrasil has escaped the position, nice work there.
Yggdrasil is trying to escape the position but Hogsback is controlling the position.
Hogsback wants to control but Yggdrasil is keeping him busy.

Hogsback has an Americana. Yggdrasil didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hogsback is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hogsback hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
