Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Herzog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herzog kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Takida - Curly Sue. The crowd seem to be enjoying Piper's choice of entrance music: Real Men Wear Skirts. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Roddy Piper enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog misses with a kick to the body.
Piper leaves Herzog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Herzog dives in for a single leg takedown but Piper sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Herzog lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Herzog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Piper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Herzog connects with a single shot there.
Piper's coach down at Manu's Kiwi Beer Barn - PIT Inc. was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Piper's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Herzog will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Herzog, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
