Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sho Hayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weiss Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sho Hayashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Weiss Mike!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayashi stuffs the takedown attempt from Mike. Mike gets slowly back to his feet.
Mike changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hayashi tries to avoid it but Mike manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hayashi to the ground. Hayashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hayashi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hayashi showed some decent athleticism there.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hayashi is looking for a kimura here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hayashi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Mike has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hayashi has passed into side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hayashi goes for an armbar but Mike turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mike.

Hayashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mike manages to get himself to full guard.

Mike jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hayashi walks away with a smile on his face. Mike gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hayashi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
