Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Amr Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Infante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pendragon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Game of Thrones. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pedro Infante was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Amr Pendragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Infante!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Infante with that takedown attempt.
Infante shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pendragon pinned against the cage. Pendragon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Amr Pendragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pendragon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pendragon pulls Infante in close to prevent any damage.
Infante trying to control but Pendragon is working from the bottom.

Infante is fighting to break Pendragon's control of his arms but Pendragon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Amr Pendragon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Infante fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pendragon sprawls well initially but Infante persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pendragon holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Infante wants to take a breather but Pendragon is having none of it.
Pendragon is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Hilo Training Center that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pendragon throws a hook to the side of Infante's head but Infante sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Amr Pendragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Infante.

Infante gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Infante is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pendragon to keep the fight standing.

Infante must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pendragon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pendragon throws a push kick but Infante slaps the foot to one side.
Pendragon throws a lazy right hand but Infante sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Infante shoots in but Pendragon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Infante displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pendragon throws out the jab.
A low kick from Pendragon is predictable there

and Infante holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Pendragon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

and Infante counters by moving into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pendragon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Infante looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pendragon is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pedro Infante will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Infante fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pendragon avoids it really well and circles away.
Pendragon throws a half hearted mid kick.
Infante throws a head kick but Pendragon moves out of range.
Pendragon throws a lazy right hand but Infante sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pendragon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice takedown defense from Pendragon. No joy for Infante on that attempt.

and Infante holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Pendragon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Infante is trying to hold Pendragon in close to prevent damage but Pendragon has managed to pass into half guard.

Infante is looking to improve his position but Pendragon isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pendragon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Pendragon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Infante tries to hold on but Pendragon pushes him away.
Amr Pendragon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Infante is looking to improve his position but Pendragon isn't that keen on the idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Infante shoots in for a takedown but Pendragon shows good takedown defense.
Amr Pendragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Infante.
Pendragon throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Infante counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pendragon!
Infante with the ground and pound but Pendragon regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Infante is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Pendragon manages to get to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close second round but Pedro Infante will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Infante ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Infante no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Pendragon wants to sweep here but Infante controlling him for the moment.

Pendragon keeping moving, preventing Infante from controlling successfully.
Pendragon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Infante wants to hold on but Pendragon pushes him away.
Infante is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Amr Pendragon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Infante avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pendragon.

Infante is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Pedro Infante is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Pendragon throws some wild stikes that Infante manages to avoid easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Amr Pendragon.
I think Infante has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
