Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ismael Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominikk Dostall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominikk Dostall has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ismael Boone's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dostall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boone quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dostall missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Boone controlling the position for now.
Dostall is trying to control the action in half guard but Boone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dostall trying to pass the guard but Boone defending well.
Dostall throws a strike but Boone avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Boone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Boone pulls Dostall in to control the position.

Boone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dostall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dostall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dostall defends it easily.

Boone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dostall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dominikk Dostall hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Dostall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boone to the ground. Dostall is now in Boone's guard.
Dostall lands a couple of elbows.
Dostall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Boone wants to sweep here but Dostall controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Boone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Boone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dostall sees it coming and defends easily.
Boone is figuring out what he wants to do next.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Boone's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Boone duly obliges.
Dostall tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boone forces Dostall back against the cage and clinches.

Dostall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Boone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Boone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boone is controlling Dostall's posture.
Ismael Boone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dostall manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boone prevents Dostall from getting back to his feet.

Boone has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Boone tries to pull guard but Dostall won't allow it.

Dostall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Boone wants to control but Dostall is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Boone in particular looking to stall.

Dostall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boone napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Boone holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dostall tries to advance to mount but Boone denies him.
Boone is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dostall off and has taken his back!
Boone has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dostall's body.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Dostall.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Boone.

Dostall has hold of one of Boone's legs. Boone is fighting the takedown attempt but Dostall gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Dostall wants to control from the top but Boone keeps moving.
Dostall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dostall manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dostall is looking to stand up but Boone isn't so interested in that idea.
Dostall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boone not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
