Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ah Puch Nacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nacon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Death. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nacon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Parks scores with a nice head shot.
Parks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Parks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Parks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parks lands in his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nacon trying to control the position.
Parks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nacon's head.
Parks throws a big right hand that misses.
Nacon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Parks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Parks told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nacon has his foot on Parks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parks works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nacon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nacon is trying to keep Parks in close.

Parks is looking to work some ground and pound but Nacon has wrist control.

Nacon wants to control but Parks is keeping busy and won't allow it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nacon wants to hold on but Parks pushes him away.

Nacon is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Bromance Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
A big strike lands for Parks! That's really hurt Nacon and he's turned his back - Parks keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Parks jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

A relieved looking Lyoto Parks thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
