Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Boudreault!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Dill!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boudreault looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dill is fending him off so far but Boudreault persists. Nope, Dill circles away and we're back to standing.
Boudreault has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Boudreault tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dill swivels and escapes.
Dill wants to clinch but Boudreault slips to the side
and Boudreault counters with an outside leg kick.
Dill darts in trying to clinch
and Boudreault counters with a low kick, right behind Dill 's knee.
Boudreault throws a head kick that half lands.
Boudreault moves into range and clinches up with Dill.
Boudreault has picked Dill up - he's going for a ride! Boudreault dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dill is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dill pushes Boudreault off looking to stand but Boudreault dives back in and keeps control.
Boudreault moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boudreault is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dill has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dill has one of Boudreault's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Dill tries to buck Boudreault off but Boudreault is having none of it.
Boudreault looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dill is avoiding damage well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boudreault postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Boudreault is looking to take a break and control but Dill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dill is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Boudreault is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dill is trying to control Boudreault's posture but Boudreault avoids it.
Dill is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Boudreault has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Dill managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Boudreault.
Boudreault in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Boudreault controls the position.
Boudreault is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dill is trying to escape and Boudreault transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dill is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boudreault! Very nice indeed!
