Decent striking displayed by Whittaker there.
Whittaker forces Liaudin back against the cage and clinches.
Liaudin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Whittaker walks away with a smile on his face. Liaudin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Whittaker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Liaudin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Liaudin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Whittaker throws a nice looking combination but Liaudin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Whittaker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Whittaker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Liaudin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whittaker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Liaudin throws an elbow that misses. Whittaker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Liaudin's guard. Nice move by Whittaker!
Liaudin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whittaker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whittaker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Whittaker is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Liaudin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Whittaker is looking to defend but Liaudin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Whittaker! Liaudin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Whittaker taps out and this one is all over!
