Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sepp Maier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sampsa Siloposki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maier comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga mas não bate. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 26 - 1, fighting out of London, Sepp Maier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sampsa Siloposki!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siloposki swinging wildly here.
Sampsa Siloposki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Siloposki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maier is in Siloposki's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Maier advances to half guard.

Maier is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Siloposki wants to get back to his feet.

Maier seems to be looking for submissions.

Siloposki has momentary wrist control but Maier slips an elbow through the middle.
Siloposki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maier is controlling him.

Maier drops back looking for a leg! Siloposki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Siloposki manages to kick Maier off! Maier jumps back into Siloposki's guard.

I was talking to Maier's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Siloposki has his hands clasped together around Maier's back. He's all about the action.
Maier thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Siloposki is looking to control Maier's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Siloposki avoid being mounted?
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sampsa Siloposki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Maier closes the distance and clinches up with Siloposki, looking for a takedown. Maier pushes Siloposki against the cage but Siloposki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Maier has gone for a leg lock! Siloposki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maier's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Let's hope that Siloposki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Maier dives in for a single leg takedown but Siloposki sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Maier wants to get back to striking at distance but Siloposki won't allow it.
Maier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Siloposki lands a good knee to the midsection. Maier won't want to take too many of those.

Sampsa Siloposki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maier sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Oh Maier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Siloposki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Siloposki lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Maier - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Siloposki!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sampsa Siloposki!
After winning the bout, Sampsa Siloposki thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
