Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandro Poletto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Rymar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rymar has chosen I belive i can fly as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sandro Poletto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Rymar!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poletto sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Rymar to the ground! Poletto dives into full mount looking to finish!


It looks like David Rymar has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rymar regains half guard.
Rymar misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rymar gets back to full guard.
Poletto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rymar on the ground.
Rymar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Poletto has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Poletto wants to stand but Rymar has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rymar is on top in guard.

Poletto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rymar defends well.
Rymar stands up over Poletto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rymar works over Poletto with some ground and pound from guard.
Rymar postures up and lands a big shot to Poletto's brow.
Rymar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Rymar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rymar stands up over Poletto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rymar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Poletto on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Poletto tries to get out of the position.

Rymar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Rymar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Poletto's head.

Poletto has an active guard here but Rymar has managed to pass into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rymar connects with a nice short shot to Poletto's temple.

Rymar slips a nice elbow through Poletto's hands, connecting with Poletto's forehead.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rymar lands a nice short elbow.
Rymar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rymar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Poletto pushes Rymar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rymar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Rymar grinds an elbow into Poletto's temple.
Poletto tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Rymar presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Rymar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Poletto is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Poletto is breathing heavily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Rymar dominated that round.
The cut man is working on David Rymar's cut.
That's time! Poletto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Rymar shoots in and bounces Poletto off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
David Rymar has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rymar cracks Poletto with a solid left hand.
Rymar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rymar lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Poletto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rymar passes Poletto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rymar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rymar stops Poletto from getting back to his feet.
Rymar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Poletto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rymar pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rymar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rymar is nestled in close to Poletto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Rymar moves into full mount! Poletto won't be happy about that!

Rymar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A big strike lands for Rymar! That's really hurt Poletto and he's turned his back - Rymar keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Rymar jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Rymar!
In his post fight interview, David Rymar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
